The Most Overlooked (& Effective) Way to Avoid Deathbed Regrets & Focus On What REALLY Matters In Life BEFORE It's Too Late

Neuron #1: Wisdom Is Subtracting

Knowledge is adding.

Wisdom is subtracting.

Let’s fast forward to your deathbed.

You're 105 years old (well done!).

What are you currently doing that will NOT matter to you when you take your last breath?

What are you pursuing that is NOT deeply meaningful and true to you?

Where are you spending TOO MUCH energy?

Although it could be painful, honest self-reflection is the first step to re-creating yourself.

Listen here.

I used to spend 5 days a week (~22 hours total) sculpting the six-pack abs of a Spartan warrior. I still LOVE working out, but back then, I was FAR too proud and obsessed with it.

Then, I started subtracting.

And it genuinely saved my life.

Among many profound (and painful) realizations, I admitted that nobody is going to give a fuck about my six-pack abs on my deathbed, especially not me.

So, I re-designed my workout program: 2 days at the gym with more efficient workouts, and exercise other days at home (no time wasted on commute).

In return, I saved 11 hours per week. Over a 1-year span, that gifts me ~24 DAYS of my life back!

Take inventory of your life. Right now. Honestly.

After all, the life you’re negotiating for is YOUR own.

Habits. Ways of thinking and feeling. Hobbies. Activities. Food. Media. Friends. Goals.

What can you completely eliminate?

What could you do much less of, yet still achieve a similar result? (Not everything has to be 100% eliminated.)

For better or worse, you've likely added far more to your life than you need.

It's okay, don't hate yourself. We all pick up a lot of baggage, BUT we can dump that baggage at any time.

It’s time to subtract.

And don’t underestimate the power of small subtractions each day.

Paradoxically, every subtraction adds up.

If you mindlessly scrolled social media for a mere 10 minutes less each day over the next decade, you would save 1,520 hours of your PRECIOUS life.

For context, that would save ~9 FULL WEEKS OF YOUR EXISTENCE.

Don't get swept away BLINDLY following your ego and the dreams of others.

Go discover who you are and why you are here.

Here are just a few of the benefits of trimming the fat:

  • Your mental and emotional health improve

  • Your brain becomes more coherent.

  • You re-allocate your energy for what matters.

  • You build the life of your dreams

  • You experience the priceless feeling of being aligned with yourself and proud of yourself when you are all alone

What will you subtract TODAY?

You can live an extraordinary life. You got this. Enjoy the ride.

Love, Connor
